Greece's Port of Piraeus seizes record haul of fraudulently imported Chinese goods
The European Public Prosecutor's Office in Athens ordered the seizure of more than 2,400 containers at the Port of Piraeus – a record haul – packed with Chinese goods that had entered the European Union without paying customs duties or value-added tax. Six people, including two Greek customs officers, are suspected in the large-scale smuggling operation.
